NO KINGS Demonstration Protests Full of Community & Unity
100 thousand plus across Connecticut make their voices heard as millions across the country put the Trump administration on notice.
It was the perfect New England day in Connecticut and it seems as if EVERYONE turned out for a good day or helped to support those that needed it the most by using de-escalation and nonviolence to spread the No Kings message.
Sentiments and appreciations were shown by hands waving, classic American flags, thumbs up, signs, costumes, painted vehicles, music, speeches, neighborly conversations and horns blasting with tones of willingness to continue the fight and hope for the future. People peacefully but loudly made their voices heard.
I attended two demonstrations. The Connecticut Capitol in Hartford was filled front, back, the Bushnell side of the campus and spilled across the street to the stairs and frontage of the Connecticut State Library. In Willimantic, from the Frog Bridge all the way down Main Street people stood 4 to 5 deep with signs in hand and overflowed into the park. People were everywhere. Oh, and dogs were welcome too.

October 18, 2025 was the second no No Kings Day also known as No Dictators or No Tyrants protest demonstrations. Although initially geared towards Americans in opposition of Donald Trump, his administration and partners authoritarian policies, their shredding of the Constitution of the United States, unfair advantages via one-sided tax policies, tariff creating inflation, terrorizing I.C.E. raids, anti-worker rhetoric, corruption, the Epstein Files, and other anti-American sentiments. Regardless of political affiliations, millions of Americans of all walks of life were clear in their disapproval with over 2.500 separate events taking place throughout the country. The messages and unity spread over international waters to... Europe, Hong Kong, Canada and many others - sharing in our solidarity.
There were dozens of organizations represented some included, Indivisible, 5051, ACLU, labor unions, Working Families Party, 50501 many organizers and others took the stage in Hartford and Willimantic with words of actions, pledges to continue working together, get out the vote messages and promises to help wherever needed.
