A strong law enforcement presence was in Tolland Thursday morning.

TOLLAND, CT — A strong law enforcement presence was in Tolland Thursday morning.
Connecticut State Police said the activity at the intersection of Merrow Road and Goose Lane was related to "an FBI Task Force Investigation," and CSP was not involved.
Town Manager Brian Foley, himself a former law enforcement official, said there was no reason for alarm.

"I am getting a lot of calls about law-enforcement activity at 195 and Goose," he said. "There is an active criminal investigation going on. This is being conducted via warrant and after a motor vehicle stop was initiated. I can assure our residents that this is a typical multi-agency investigation and no one is in danger."
The FBI had not issued any information on the matter early Thursday afternoon.
