SUV Flies Over Guardrail In Tolland Crash
A young driver was involved in a scary crash in Tolland, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT — A sport utility vehicle became airborne on a curve in Tolland over the weekend before hitting a tree, state police said.
The crash took place Saturday along the 100 block of Old Post Road, state police said in a crash report released this week.
According to the crash report, a 16-year-old Tolland resident was heading east in a 2012 GMC Terrain when he lost control of the SUV on a downhill stretch. The SUV then crossed onto the opposite lane, hit a guardrail, became airborne, and then hit and embankment and tree before landing in its roof, according to a crash report.

The driver had his seatbelt on and was not seriously hurt, according to a crash report. He was also not "distracted," state police said.
