Vacancy Notice - Summer Camp Counselor

The Tolland Recreation Department is now accepting applications for the position of Counselor within our Summer Camp Program. The Counselor of the Program provides quality care for children in grades K-8. The Counselor is responsible for monitoring children during daily activities including but not limited to sports, arts and crafts, snack, and other recreation activities under the supervision of the Camp Director. The Counselor is also responsible for monitoring the safety of all program participants while leading groups of children in games, arts & crafts and other recreation activities.
This is a part-time position averaging 40 hours per week. Qualified candidates for the Counselor position will have enthusiasm for working with children, the ability to recognize and act on unsafe situations and the ability to support the Camp Director in implementing all program procedures as appropriate. All program staff will be required to become CPR/First Aid/AED Certified if they are not currently certified.

Starting at $16.35 per hour
