Sign up to join us for the Fifth Annual Scarecrow Contest! This event will allow your business or organization to express yourself through the creative process of building your own Scarecrow display on Tolland Green. Please register by Friday, September 26, 2025. Click HERE to fill out the registration form. Please see contest rules HERE.Set-up begins on Sunday, September 28th and displays must be taken down by Sunday, October 26th. We will hold a town wide contest for the community to vote on their favorite scarecrows. Competition will be for first place, second place and third place.Community voting on the Scarecrow displays will be conducted via the Town of Tolland website.Questions? Email Tricia Byam at pcctolland@gmail.com SAVE THE DATE - FIFTH ANNUAL HARVEST FEST, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2025, 12:00PM-4:00 PM ON THE TOLLAND GREEN. Feeling extra creative this year? We are seeking proposals from local artists who would like to highlight their work and build a larger autumn display to be featured in front of the Hicks Museum for Public photo opportunities. This entry would NOT be part of the contest but would be a signature display on the Green. If interested, please submit plans/diagrams with measurements to the PCC (pcctolland@gmail.com) by 3:00pm on September 11th so we can review submissions at our committee meeting. The parameters for a potential photo op display would be approximately 10’x15’ and 8’ high without the use of guidewires.
