Tolland Seeking Its First Poet Laureate

TOLLAND, CT — Officials in Tolland are searching for a local poet laureate.

Tolland is seeking its first Poet Laureate, who will be named in April in celebration of National Poetry Month.

"Our chosen Poet Laureate will enhance select town events with poetry, encouraging creativity and adding artistic expression," town officials said.

The Poet Laureate will be chosen through a selection process with assistance from the Tolland Library staff and the Tolland public school system.

Information on the selection process will be made available early next year, town officials said.
