Tornado Confirmed To Have Touched Down In CT: Here's Where
The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado did touch down in CT early Thursday.
COVENTRY, CT — The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado did touch down in Coventry early Thursday morning.
The tornado touched down at 4:10 a.m. and had a maximum wind speed of 75 mph, and it traveled 75 yards.
No injuries were reported. The short-lived tornado initially touched down near the intersection of South and Pucket streets, downing several large trees in a field.

It traveled east-northeast across a wooded area where it created some tree damage. It then touched down again just north of the intersection of Flanders Road and Nathan Hale Drive where it damaged power lines, and then it damaged 50 nearby trees. More than a dozen trees were knocked over.
No homes were damaged, and the tornado was on the ground for 90 seconds.
