TOLLAND, CT — A street sign was toppled in a Tolland crash last week, state police said.

State police recently released a report on the accident.

According to a crash report, at 6:09 p.m. on Dc. 10, a 63-year-old Ellington woman was driving a 2014 Ford Escape south on Route 31. The driver was making a left-hand turn onto Reed Road and, according to state police, "oversteered" and ran off the road.

The Escape then smashed into a street sign , severing the support pole at its base, and became stuck off the shoulder, according top a crash report.

The driver was wearing her seatbelt and escaped with minor injuries, state police said.
