Weekend Forecast In Hartford/Tolland County May Include Rain, Wind

A low pressure system may impact the weekend weather in Hartford/Tolland County. Here are the new updates.

HARTFORD/TOLLAND COUNTY, CT — In southern Connecticut, heavy rain and strong wind gusts are forecast this weekend, but it appears northern sections of the state will be right on the fringe of whether they see any rain or just cloudy skies.

WFSB 3 TV Chief Meteorologist Mark Dixon with Scot Haney wrote that there is "still some uncertainty surrounding the timing and impact from that area of low pressure that develops to our south, then heads our way."

"Some of our longer range models graze or brush Southern New England with some rain Saturday; meanwhile, others paint a scenario of steadier rain," Dixon and Haney wrote. "If the low tracks farther west, we’d have more rain and a gustier wind. Conversely, if it goes farther east: less rain and wind...For now, we’re forecasting a cloudier Saturday with an increasing chance for rain through the afternoon and evening hours. Due to this, high temps won’t get out of the 60s. Then for Sunday, more clouds than sun with an ongoing chance for at least scattered showers." (Watch/read more at WFSB 3 TV here).
