Winter Public Skating Opens For 2025 In Tolland
Tolland Town Manager Brian Foley opened the 2025 Crandall Park skating season in style Tuesday.

TOLLAND, CT — Tolland's outdoor public skating rink is open for the season.
It is located at Crandall Park.
Town Manager Brian Foley made a grand entrance Tuesday to announce it.

Ice availability is conditional to the weather, and it's about a month ahead of last year.
Residents should check ice conditions prior to use. Adult supervision is strongly suggested for children younger than 12. Helmets and other protective equipment are strongly recommended.

Here are a few rules:
- No sitting or climbing on the boards
- No one is permitted on ice without ice skates
- Alcohol is prohibited
- Fires are prohibited
- No food, drinks, or pets are allowed on the ice
- Kicking holes, chipping, or gouging the ice is prohibited
The rink features a carpeted bench area.
Lights typically go on at 4 p.m. Last year they stayed on until midnight.
