Snow Accumulation Estimates Released For Tolland County, Advisory Issued

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Tolland County. Here's how much snow to expect.

TOLLAND/WINDHAM COUNTY, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for both Tolland and Windham County from 7 p.m. Sunday until 1 a.m. Tuesday.

"Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph," the weather service said. "...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

This Afternoon: A slight chance of snow after 4pm, mixing with rain after 5pm. Cloudy, with a high near 39. South wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: A chance of rain before 7pm, then rain, possibly mixed with snow between 7pm and 9pm, then rain after 9pm. Low around 34. Southeast wind 6 to 15 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Monday: Rain and snow, possibly mixed with sleet before noon, then snow, possibly mixed with rain between noon and 3pm, then snow likely after 3pm. High near 34. North wind 14 to 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow and sleet accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Monday Night: A chance of snow, mainly before 7pm. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 27. Blustery, with a northwest wind 18 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 39. West wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 22. West wind 8 to 18 mph.
