Youth Dirt Bike Rider Airlifted To Hospital After Collision With Car In Tolland
A youth riding a dirt bike collided with a car in Tolland Tuesday, fire officials said.

TOLLAND, CT — A teenage dirt bike rider was airlifted to an area hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a car in Tolland Tuesday, fire officials said.
The crash took place at 2:18 p.m. at the intersection of Goose Lane and Anderson Road, fire officials said.
The driver of the car was transported by ambulance to Windham Hospital with undisclosed injuries, fire officials said.

Life Star helicopter was called to the scene to transport the teen to Connecticut Children's Medical Center, fire officials said. The teen's exact injuries were not disclosed, but Tolland Town Manager Brian Foley characterized them as "very serious."
The area was closed off for some time while responders worked at the scene.
