2 Trumbull Residents Charged with $75,000 Embezzlement

They worked for a Westport company and were arrested by Westport Police.

Two Trumbull residents are accused of stealing $75,000 from a Westport company, including nearly 300 counts each of credit card fraud.

Dominque Phraviaxy, 39, and Xayonh Phaosoung, 38, both of Craig Lane, Trumbull, were arrested by Westport Police at 6 a.m. Monday.

The theft was reported to police on Jan. 16 and the Connecticut Financial Crimes Task Force helped investigate. They executed several search warrants in the case.

 Phraviaxy was charged with:

  • first-degree larceny,
  • conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny,
  • third-degree larceny,
  • conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny,
  • third-degree forgery (8 counts),
  • credit card theft,
  • illegal use of a credit card (290 counts),
  • and conspiracy to commit illegal use of a credit card (290 counts).

Her is bond is set at $75,000 and has a court date of April 3.

Phaosoung is charged with:

  • conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny,
  • conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny,
  • conspiracy to commit illegal use of a credit card (288 Counts).

His bond is set at $50,000 and has a court date of April 3.
