3 Pets Rescued From Home During Basement Fire In Trumbull: Long Hill FD
Long Hill fire officials said three pets were rescued from a Trumbull home after a fire broke out in the basement.
TRUMBULL, CT —Three pets were rescued from a Trumbull home after a fire broke out in a basement late Tuesday afternoon, according to fire officials.
In a post on the Long Hill Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Inc. Facebook page, fire officials said a basement fire was reported just before 5 p.m. on the 5000 block of Main Street.
When crews arrived at the home, they found flames showing from two windows of the walk-out basement and learned three pets were possibly still inside, according to Long Hill fire officials.

As crews quickly extinguished the blaze, firefighters found and rescued all three pets and returned them safely to the homeowner, fire officials said.
The Trumbull Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the blaze, according to fire officials.
