ATM Stolen From Gas Station In Trumbull: Police

The incident occurred early Tuesday on Nichols Avenue.

TRUMBULL, CT — An ATM was stolen from a gas station in Trumbull early Tuesday in what police referred to as a "smash and grab" theft.

"Unknown masked thieves broke into the Alltown Mobil, at 2775 Nichols Avenue, by prying the door open and entered the business and stole the ATM during the early hours on Tuesday," Trumbull police wrote in a post on Facebook. "After forcibly removing ATM that was secured on the premise, the suspects fled the area in their getaway vehicle, taking the ATM with them."

The theft was discovered at about 3 a.m. on Tuesday, when Trumbull police officers saw the damaged exterior door to the business, and discovered that the ATM had been taken.

Trumbull detectives have collected evidence, interviewed witnesses, and are continuing the investigation.
