TRUMBULL, CT (July 2024) – At Bridges® by Epoch at Trumbull (a memory care facility that’s part of EPOCH Senior Living, a premier provider of exceptional senior living services throughout the Northeast), dedicated team members build meaningful relationships with residents every day, providing them with outstanding care. Even with these high standards, Manny Padin, Lead Caregiver, manages to go above and beyond – regularly garnering accolades from residents, visitors, and his colleagues. Now, he’s been recognized for his efforts with an award from the Connecticut Assisted Living Association (CALA).

The Connecticut Assisted Living Association (CALA) recently held its Outstanding Resident
Services and Accomplishment Awards on Friday, June 28th at the Water’s Edge Resort & Spa in Westbrook, Connecticut. The ceremony attracted honorees from across the state to celebrate its communities’ achievements, receiving a record number of award submissions and recipients. At the ceremony, Padin received a Resident Service award in recognition of all his hard work and
dedication to the seniors living in Bridges® by Epoch at Trumbull

“Manny is a truly outstanding team member,” said Trish McKay, Executive Director of Bridges® by Epoch at Trumbull. “He does so many things – not only does he work as a caregiver, he also works in life enrichment. He regularly escorts residents to doctor’s appointments, trips to the grocery store, and more. He helps make sure all the residents look and feel their best, helping them get ready with close shaves for the men and fresh manicures for the ladies. He is often assigned to help our new residents move in and adjust to the community, and he makes them feel right at home. Even residents with dementia know Manny’s name and respond to his welcoming demeanor. Residents, family members, visitors and other team members compliment Manny daily. His warm approach and friendly smile are gold to our residents. He is a pleasure to work with and his award is certainly well deserved.”
