Burn Ban In Effect "Until Further Notice" In Trumbull: Town

In light of brush fire season, town officials announced this week a burn ban is in place throughout Trumbull "until further notice."

TRUMBULL, CT — In light of brush fire season, town officials announced Thursday a burn ban is in place throughout Trumbull "until further notice."

In a post on the town website, town officials said the fire marshal's office is monitoring brush fire conditions daily with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Town officials also noted the burn ban will be lifted "after significant rainfall for a period of time" and announced on the town website.

"Brush fires can grow very quickly and spread out of control affecting, people's homes and property," town officials wrote. "It is imperative that residents adhere to the burn ban."

Trumbull residents are asked to call 911 to report any open burning conditions.
