C.E.S. Holds Jazz Concert
C.E.S. students will be holding a jazz concert for on May 24 at the RCA Main Theatre.
From C.E.S.: The Music Department at Cooperative Educational Services’ (C.E.S.) Regional Center for the Arts (RCA) invites jazz and music lovers to concerts on Wednesday, May 24, and Thursday, May 25. Both performances begin at 7:30 p.m. in the RCA Main Theater at 23 Oakview Drive in Trumbull. General admission is $5 at the door.
All proceeds support RCA programs. Students from Bridgeport, Fairfield, Monroe, Newtown, Redding, Shelton, Stratford, and Trumbull will perform songs made famous by Duke Ellington, Disturbed, Michel Camillo, the Andrews Sisters, the Jackson 5, Dave Brubeck, Natalie Cole, Chick Corea, George Gershwin, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, and many other renowned artists.
“These students continuously reach unprecedented levels of professionalism and expertise for musicians their age,” teacher Dr. Anthony DeQuattro said. “We are fortunate that so many of them have chosen to come to Trumbull to share their gifts.”
