Car Hits Tree, Catches Fire In Trumbull: FD

TRUMBULL, CT — A car caught fire after hitting a tree early Tuesday morning in Trumbull, according to fire officials.

According to the Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company, No. 1, Inc. Facebook page, a car fire was reported just after midnight near Route 15 in Trumbull.

Fire officials said the car hit a tree and was "heavily involved" in flames when firefighters arrived.

Crews worked to quickly extinguish the car fire, officials said.
