Choice Pet Opens New Store Location In Trumbull

TRUMBULL, CT — Choice Pet, a pet supply shop with nearly 20 locations across Connecticut, New York and New Jersey, recently opened its newest store in Trumbull.

Director of Operations Lawrence Bocchiere confirmed Friday the Trumbull store officially opened March 26 at 37 Monroe Turnpike in the Fitness Edge plaza.

He also noted a grand opening event for the Trumbull store was currently planned to take place at a later date.

According to Director of Economic and Community Development Rina Bakalar, the approximately 4,000-square-foot space currently occupied by Choice Pet was previously home to two other pet stores: Pet Value and A-Z Pet.

"We are thrilled to have [Choice Pet] here," Bakalar said. "It fills a void."

Bakalar also noted Trumbull "is a pet-loving town," which should serve Choice Pet well as they open their doors to residents.

"It appears they are off to a strong start with their sales and customers, which is terrific," Bakalar said. "The store looks great. I expect they will be extremely successful in this location."

Bocchiere said Trumbull was the perfect place for their newest store, and the entire Choice Pet team was excited to become part of the Trumbull community.

According to their website, Choice Pet offers "carefully selected holistic, organic, raw and natural foods, treats and chews along with an array of outstanding pet products" they feel are the best in their categories.

In addition to Trumbull, Choice Pet operates other Connecticut stores in Monroe, Fairfield, Ridgefield, Danbury, Westport, Darien, Stamford, Greenwich, North Haven, Guilford, Old Saybrook, Southbury and West Hartford.
