An official opening date for the Trumbull store has not been announced yet. A request for comment from Ross Dress for Less was not immediately returned this week.
The department store chain, which specializes in clothes, home decor and other items sold at discounted prices, currently operates stores in a number of other states, including New York, New Jersey, Florida and California.
Last year, Bakalar told Patch the new store will use the entire space vacated by Home Goods, measuring approximately 35,000 square feet.
"It will bring good foot traffic to the site," Bakalar said last year. "Everyone likes a discount too."
