Construction Set To Begin On Trumbull Mall Parking Garage
Construction on the "Red Parking Garage" next to Target at the Trumbull Mall will begin over the next several weeks, town officials said.
TRUMBULL, CT — Construction on the "Red Parking Garage" next to Target at the Trumbull Mall is set to begin over the next several weeks, town officials said.
According to the town website, work on the parking garage will continue for a 12-18 month period, during which construction will occur in phases.
For a limited period of time during phase one of construction, both the garage's upper and lower areas will be closed. Once the first phase is complete, portions of the garage will be reopened, town officials said.

Secure walkway areas to the Target and mall doors will be in place for shoppers and employees to walk from other nearby parking. Approximately 75 percent of the garage will be reconstructed during this time period, town officials said.
Town officials emphasized all plans for the parking garage have been put in place with safety as a primary concern.
