"Crazy For You" marks Director Jessica Spillane's 15th show for Trumbull High School's award-winning musical theater program.
With 75 actors and about 30 crew members, the musical is one of the larger productions the school has staged.
Producer Shannon Bolan is a THS math teacher and is 2002 THS alumna. Students are picking up other duties such as costumes and lighting. Senior Greg St. Germain designed the show's lighting, and student Larissa Mark is stage manager.

Spillane said she picked the show for its dance numbers. "It's a tap-dancing show and we haven't done a tap-dancing show" in a while, she said.
The dancing is mostly original and choreographed by Frank Root of Fairfield and his daughter Abigail. Jerold Goldstein is the musical director. Both have worked on THS shows and have Broadway experience, Spillane said.

She added that she hopes courses in theater production will be made part of the THS curriculum.
"They learn a lot by working with professionals," Spillane said.
The musical is set in Nevada and involves a theater on the brink of closing.
