Michael Paul Cohen, 30, of East Haven, is charged with motor vehicle violations and driving with a suspended license.
Police said he was towing a trailer that lacked brake lights. When he was stopped, officers found he was wanted by State Police for failing to appear in court, police said.
His bond was set at $25,000 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
