TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull has announced further details about its upcoming revaluation set for 2026.

According to the town website, the town has contracted Vision Government Solutions to assist with the 2026 town-wide revaluation.

Vision's Appraisal Division will work in close partnership with the tax assessor's office to ensure a successful and accurate revaluation process, according to town officials.

Town officials also noted data mailers have been sent to all owners of residential properties.

According to information available on the town website, a revaluation program is undertaken to secure a more equitable distribution of the tax burden, to bring the assessment level up to date and to modernize assessment procedures.

The purpose of the revaluation is to ensure uniformity in real property valuations by eliminating inequities that may have developed since the previous revaluation, according to the town.

The last revaluation for Trumbull was completed in 2021, and Connecticut law requires municipalities to conduct a revaluation every five years.

The Connecticut Office of Policy and Management has updated the statewide revaluation schedule for Trumbull to 2025, however the state granted to defer Trumbull's 2025 revaluation to 2026, according to the town.
