Dorothy M. Walsh, 82, of Milford, passed away on May 5, 2025.

Dorothy M. Walsh, 82, of Milford, beloved wife of Robert Walsh, passed away on May 5, 2025.

Dorothy was born on July 4, 1942, to the late Fritz Gunnar Almgren and Dorothy Meason.

Dorothy was a cherished elementary school teacher in the Milford School District, deeply devoted to her students and passionate about her profession. She graduated with her master’s degree in education from Fairfield University.

Dorothy dedicated her life to her family, including her husband to whom she was happily married for 56 years, and their son and daughter they lovingly raised together. She prioritized her family above everything else until her dying day. She was always thinking of others’ needs above herself. Dorothy spent many years traveling with her family on trips throughout the United States. In addition, she and her devoted husband enjoyed numerous cruises throughout the world including the Caribbean, England, France, Scandinavia, Russia, and Estonia.

She is survived by her husband Robert Walsh, her daughter Catherine Walsh, and her son Robert Walsh.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday May 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf Street in Milford, Connecticut. Interment will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery at 271 Cherry Street in Milford.
