TRUMBULL, CT — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

July 4 Festivities

What: Trumbull Day 2022, a fun-filled family event with food, vendors, carnival rides and games, children's entertainment, a main stage featuring local bands and fireworks.

Where: The field behind Hillcrest Middle School

When: The event begins Friday, July 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and continue on Saturday, July 2, from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., closing with a fabulous fireworks display.

What: Stratford's annual Independence Day Fireworks display

Where: Short Beach

When: The display will begin at sundown, approximately 9 p.m. The rain date will be July 5.

What: Fireworks & Concert at HPCC in Orange

Where: 525 Orange Center Rd

When: July 9
