Five Teens Arrested After High-Speed Chase In Trumbull: Police
BREAKING: Police say the teens also were involved in a theft at the Trumbull Mall.

TRUMBULL, CT — Five teenagers were arrested Saturday after they allegedly stole a bag from a woman at the Trumbull Mall and led police on a high speed chase in a stolen car on Rte. 25. Police say the incident began when a mall employee reportes someone stole a bag from her as she sat in her car during her lunch break.
Police say a 16-year-old Waterbury teen took the bag and ran into an awaiting BMW SUV, which was reported stolen out of New Canaan. Police say the SUV nearly hit several vehicles as it left the mall parking lot.
An off-duty Trumbull officer spotted the BMW, and another officer tried to stop it on Main Street into Bridgeport. The chase continued until Trumbull, Bridgeport and State Police were able to stop the car near the Daniels Farm Road exit.

The four remaining teens were from Waterbury. Three were released to parents and a 16-year-old from Waterbury was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Waterbury and was turned over to that department.
