FREE Medication Lock Boxes for Residents

Trumbull Health Department and TPAUD Partner Together

Need a safe and convenient method to keep track of your medications? Stop by the Trumbull Health Department between 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., to receive a free medication lock box, while supplies last. The Health Department and TPAUD, Trumbull’s Prevention Partnership, have collaborated to promote the safe storage of medications. Lock boxes can be used for both prescription and nonprescription medication, as well as for vape and marijuana products.

“This is the Health Department’s second year with partnering with TPAUD on this initiative,” said Luci Bango, Trumbull Health Department Director of Health. “We are passionate about prevention and the use of medication lock boxes allows residents to have better control of their medications while helping to keep them out of the hands of others.”

“Any medicine can be dangerous, even some over-the-counter medications, if taken in the wrong way or by the wrong person. And with the legalization of adult-use marijuana, it’s important for adults to secure marijuana and marijuana-related products, to keep small children, teens, and pets safe from accidental ingestion,” said Kiersten Naumann, TPAUD’s Program Coordinator.
