The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn: An American Story.  Craig Hotchkiss, of The Mark Twain House & Museum.  Sun. Apr. 14, 2 – 3pm.  In his new look at Twain's narrative and the character Huckleberry Finn, Hotchkiss reaffirms this masterpiece, placing it in the context of the larger history of race relations in America from slavery to the modern Civil Rights Movement.  He also shows how the book continues to be a catalyst for positive social change.  Register.  Free.  Co-sponsored by TLS & MTH.

Poetry Workshop with Ellen Carpenter for Children.  Sat. Apr. 13, 2 – 3pm.  Seventh in a series of poetry workshops for children in grades 1-3, conducted by Trumbull High School student and poetry enthusiast Ellen Carpenter.  This month’s workshop will feature the whimsical poetry of Lewis Carroll.
