Heavy Traffic Delays Expected During Trumbull Day Event

Police said residents should expect heavy traffic delays in the area of Daniels Farm Road and Strobel Road during the Trumbull Day event.

TRUMBULL, CT — Police said residents should expect heavy traffic delays over the weekend in the area of Daniels Farm Road and Strobel Road during the Trumbull Day event.

In a Facebook post, police said the heaviest traffic delays are expected between the approximate hours of 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Fireworks are expected to begin Saturday around 9 p.m., after which the traffic flow in the area of Daniels Farm Road and Strobel Road will be as follows, according to police:

Hillcrest Middle School at Daniels Farm Road: All traffic exiting Hillcrest Middle School must turn left (south) onto Daniels Farm Road towards Route 25 / White Plains Road. (Traffic traveling north on Daniels Farm Road will be stopped at Hillcrest Middle School until parking lots clear.)

Marigold Lane at Daniels Farm Road: All traffic exiting Marigold Lane must turn right (south) onto Daniels Farm Road only.

Trumbull High School Exit (West) at Strobel Road: Traffic exiting Trumbull High School (west exit) must turn left (west) onto Strobel Road towards Daniels Farm Road.

Strobel Road at Daniels Farm Road: Traffic exiting Strobel Road (westerly) must turn right (north) onto Daniels Farm Road towards Whitney Avenue (follow posted detour signs).

Trumbull High School Exit (East) at Strobel Road: Traffic existing Trumbull High School (east exit) must turn right (east) onto Strobel Road towards Booth Hill Road (follow posted detour signs).
