Kindergarten Registration Now Open For 2025-2026 School Year In Trumbull

TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull Public Schools recently began kindergarten registration for the fall of 2025.

The following information was provided on the district website for parents and guardians looking to register their child for the 2025-2026 school year in Trumbull:

Children Turning 5 On or Before Sept. 1 of the 2025-2026 School Year

If your child is turning 5 and born on or before September 1st, 2020, please visit the Trumbull Public Schools District registration webpage at https://www.trumbullps.org for instructions to complete registration and upload forms online when the registration window opens on Jan. 8, 2025.

Documents Needed to Enroll

• Residency verification and proof of residency in Trumbull.
• Child's original birth certificate.
• Medical, health and immunization records.
• Proof of custody or guardianship (if applicable).

Steps to Start Kindergarten

1) Register online.
2) Look for communication from your child's school to:

• Attend kindergarten orientation at your child's school this spring.
• Participate in any new kindergarten student activities.
• Find out about your school's Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

Children Turning 5 After Sept. 1, 2025 and Before Jan. 1, 2026

If your child is turning 5 between Sept. 1, 2025, and Jan. 1, 2026, you are eligible to submit a written request and assessment for your child to enter kindergarten. Please complete a short request and assessment, which can be accessed here, so that the principal and certified staff can review your input and approve placement for your child to enter kindergarten.

All requests will be reviewed by the school principal and a certified educator. Once reviewed, you will be sent an approval notification to register your child.

Please note, the registration window for the 2025-2026 school year opens on Jan. 8, 2025.
