LWV To Hold Pre-Primary Debate For State Senate Candidates In Trumbull

The League of Women Voters of the Bridgeport Area will hold a pre-primary debate for State Senate District 22 Democratic candidates Aug. 1.

TRUMBULL, CT — The League of Women Voters of the Bridgeport Area will hold a pre-primary debate between the Democratic candidates for the State Senate 22nd District on Aug. 1 in Trumbull.

According to a news release provided by LWV, the event is free and open to the public, and will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Trumbull Library, located at 33 Quality Street.

Audience members are invited to submit written questions for the candidates. The debate moderator will be Laura Smits of LWV Norwalk.

All four candidates have accepted the league's invitation. They are: Scott Burns, Bill Finch, Sujata Gadkar-Wilcox, and Tyler Mack.

The 22nd senate district represents all of Trumbull, the north end of Bridgeport and part of Monroe.

The primary election will be held Aug. 13, with early voting available from Aug. 5 through Aug. 11. Absentee ballot information and voter registration forms will be available at the event.
