A recent audit of the town's financial statements showed the mall is now the town's second highest taxpayer, according to a new report.

TRUMBULL, CT — An audit of the town's financial statements as of June 30, 2023 revealed the Trumbull Mall is now the town's second highest taxpayer behind Digital Realty Data Centers, the Connecticut Post reports. PKF O'Connor Davies conducted the audit and presented it to the town on April 8.

According to the Connecticut Post, the new auditor's report also indicated the mall has lost over half its assessed value since 2014, down from over $218 million in 2014 to over $107 million in 2023. Town officials offered more context and emphasized the mall is still one of Trumbull's top taxpayers.
