TRUMBULL, CT — A Stamford man, Brian Jacobs, 57, of Perry Street is accused of dragging an officer with a stolen vehicle as he attempted to flee police, Trumbull police said.
At 10:30 a.m. Friday, police said Jacobs was taken into custody a few miles away. Jacobs was also found to be in possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia when he was arrested, police said.
An officer on patrol located a Toyota Tacoma, which had been reported to the Fairfield police earlier this morning, as taken without the owner’s permission as it was traveling Southbound on Route 15 where the officer initially stopped the vehicle, police said.
