Next Chapter Books announces a new story-time series: “Story Hour with a Star,” beginning on Friday, July 22, at 11:00am. Next Chapter Books has partnered with the New Paradigm Theatre to offer our younger. community members a chance to enjoy the love of literature and reading aloud with the excitement and energy of a theatrical performance. The first in a series will feature Hans Christian Andersen’s classic “Little Mermaid” read in character by Princess Ariel herself followed by an Under the Sea Tea Party.
Children are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite princess, prince or pirate for this special story hour.

Registration is required and limited. The registration fee of $10 includes the event and a take home goody bag for each participating “star.” Call 203-590-3285 or email nextchapterbooks@trumbullps.net to register.
Trumbull Public School’s ELITE (Educating Learners in Transitional Environments) Program teaches employability and life skills to young adults with disabilities. Next Chapter Books, staffed by ELITE students and community volunteers, is a vocational training platform where meaningful instructional opportunities strengthen the students’ daily living skills. Of course, it offers an inviting space for community members to gather, have a cup of coffee and enjoy quality, pre-owned books too!

The New Paradigm Theatre will present Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”on Friday, August 19 (at 7:00pm) and Saturday, August 20 (at 2:00 and 7:00pm) in the state-of-the-art theatre of Black Rock Church in Fairfield.
