“The Trumbull Health Department is excited to be a part of this webinar series,” said Luci Bango, Trumbull Health Department Director of Health. “Local health departments throughout the region are working with partners to help reduce the stigma around mental illness and dedicated to sharing local, regional and state resources that our residents can benefit from.”
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), mental illnesses are among the most common health conditions in the United States. Providing support and resources to our community members who are diagnosed with a mental illness is vital.
