Millions in Bonds Before Trumbull Council, Finance Board Tonight
Everything from school security to capital plan bonds will be reviewed.

Trumbull's Town Council and the Board of Finance will take up four bond issues at 7 p.m. in Town Hall.
The bonds encompass:
- $1.3 million for upgrading school district technology
- $740,000 for turf repair and other repairs to McDougall Field (Trumbull High School); THS' track, tennis courts and soccer field. The price depends on what options are selected.
- $832,000 for school security upgrades.
The other bond issue is for appropriating $6.07 million for the 2013-2014 Capital Improvement Plan.

The two boards will also take up transferring $874,000 to the Board of Education. The money was set aside under the state statute allowing 1 percent of the budget surplus to be transferred into a separate account. It was instituted to fund the first year of all-day kindergarten, the cost of which is now part of the education budget, officials say.
