A mother raccoon that became trapped in a Dumpster outside of Cooperative Education caused a brief stir before it was rescued Wednesday.
The mother was still in the nursing stage and animal control officials "released her and she ran off into the woods," said Trumbull Animal Control Officer Lynn Dellabianca.
Raccoons sometimes become trapped in Dumpsters as they forage for food, Dellabianca said.
