TRUMBULL, CT — A new business recently opened at the Trumbull Mall offering fresh cold-pressed juices, smoothies and more.

Heavenly Nature Juice Bar held a grand opening and ribbon cutting event Saturday at the mall.

According to Economic and Community Development Director Rina Bakalar, the new business is located on the upper floor of the mall between Macy's and the Pandora store.

Heavenly Nature's menu features an array of fresh cold-pressed juices, smoothies, protein shakes, açaí bowls, fresh fruits, Jamaican patties, salads, matcha, cleanses and detox drinks made with natural ingredients, according to additional press materials provided by Bakalar.

The juice bar also offers herbal remedies and sea moss and aims to be a hub for all things healthy and tasty.

In a Facebook post welcoming Heavenly Nature to the mall, town officials noted this is the business' second location. Heavenly Nature also operates a store in Shelton.

According to Bakalar, Saturday's event featured a good crowd of elected officials and supporters.

"We had some young people join as well," Bakalar said to Patch. "They all seemed to enjoy what they ordered. I had my first Acai bowl, which was fantastic!"

She also noted the business is a good fit for not just the mall, but Trumbull as a whole.

"It is a healthy option," Bakalar said, "which is something people are seeking...this is a locally-operated store. A beautiful family owns this business and it is wonderful to see them grow to a second location."

More information about Heavenly Nature can be found on the business' Instagram page.

The opening comes during a year in which the mall has been in an ownership and management transition, Bakalar said.

Connecticut Post Mall owner Centennial announced in June it had been awarded the management and leasing contract for the Trumbull Mall.

"We are just now seeing new leasing activity," Bakalar said, "which is encouraging."
