Obituary: Barbara DeLuca Boback, 90, Of Trumbull
Mrs. Boback worked as an administrative assistant for Sikorsky Aircraft and was also a longtime crossing guard for the town of Trumbull.

Barbara DeLuca Boback, age 90, of Trumbull, CT, passed away May 3, 2024 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was born in Bridgeport, CT, to the late John and Anne DeLuca, and grew up in Stratford.
She graduated from Lauralton Hall, having first attended when she was in the 5th grade.

In her earlier years, Mrs. Boback worked as an administrative assistant for Sikorsky Aircraft and later at the University of Bridgeport. She also was a crossing guard for the Town of Trumbull for many years and worked in the cafeteria at Jane Ryan School up until her eighties.
Mrs. Boback loved dancing, painting, reading, entertaining family and friends, and traveling. There’s nothing that she enjoyed more than camping and sailing with her husband, Robert, and her children. Barbara was a devout Catholic. After Robert passed, she made several religious Pilgrimages around the world. Later, she enjoyed her trips to Mohegan Sun Casino with her friends.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert M. Boback, and her brother-in-law, Kenneth Carroll.
She is survived by her three devoted daughters, Therese A. Boback, Frances B. McKiernan and her husband Edward, and Elizabeth M. Boening and her husband Jens; four cherished grandchildren Katie, Meredith, Maximilian, and Robert, her sister Frances Cormier-Carroll, her brother H. John DeLuca and his wife Barbara, and her sister Louise Cole and her husband Gregory, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday at 11 a.m. directly at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St. Trumbull, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield, CT.
Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT.
