Obituary: Doris E. Malagise, 90, Formerly Of Trumbull

Doris E. Malagise, 90, formerly of Trumbull and Norwalk, died on May 8, 2024 at Mozaic Senior Life in Bridgeport. Born in Long Island City, NY, daughter of the late Harold and Jennie (Mazza) Gramling, she was the wife of the late Ralph Malagise. She was also predeceased by her sister Diana Kean.

She had worked as a nurse early in her career, but spent many years in banking, and later retired from Union Trust. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Doris enjoyed working on her African Violets and plants. Doris also loved knitting, baking and Doll collecting. She also enjoyed going on cruises.

She is survived by her four sons, Michael, Randall, Christopher and his wife Anna, and Ralph Jr., and his wife Rosina, five loving grandchildren, Kristin and her husband Nicholas, Christopher, Michael, Ralph III, and Rebecca, two Great Grand Children, Liam and Mia and many nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends on Monday, May 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. following the viewing on Monday, at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
