Obituary: William Wiggins, 84, Of Trumbull

William P. Wiggins, 84, of Trumbull, passed away on January 27, 2023. Born on October 27, 1938 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Louis P. and Lillian E. (Haisman) Wiggins.

Bill moved from the Bronx at the age of five and grew up in Fairfield. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was an active member of Port 5 National Association of Naval Veterans, where he played pool frequently. Bill enjoyed swimming, fishing, and caring for his indoor plants. He had a special relationship with his mom and brought her out to lunch on a regular basis. He prided himself in having a nice car but never missed a chance to help someone out or slip his nieces and nephews $5.

Bill is survived by his sister, Christine (Tony) Papcun; his nephew, Rich (Nicole) Papcun; great nephew, Christopher Papcun; his great nieces and nephew, Madeline and Samantha Papcun and Jillian and Lucas Brotherton; and his black cat, Mocha. Bill was predeceased by his niece, Vickie Brotherton, and nephew, Kenny Papcun.

Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 BROAD ST., MILFORD, CT. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center.
