Town Council
What town do you live in?
Trumbull, CT
Party Affiliation:
Republican
Occupation:
Self-Employed
Family:
Although I have no children of my own, I am a proud Aunt of 14 nieces & nephews! I grew up (mostly in Trumbull) with my parents, brother, and 3 sisters…many of whom still live in the area.
Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
No.
Previous public office, appointive or elective:
No. This would be my first attempt.
Why are you seeking this office?
I love my town! And I want to give back to my community. I want to help ensure better management within departments in Trumbull. Taxes have increased at a rapid rate over the past decade, and I hope to help our town cut back on wasteful spending. I also would like to ensure there is greater transparency within Town Hall.
Our roads need improvement, our schools are overcrowded, we are not caring well for our elderly, our Veterans & Law Enforcement are undervalued, etc.
We need to find more efficient and more transparent ways to address these issues.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Our children are our future! How do we balance the budget, but also give the best education & opportunities to Trumbull kids?!
I am currently on the board of Trumbull Little League and formerly worked for the Parks & Recreation Department in Trumbull -helping families & youth every day. I am passionate about seeing our kids given the tools they need to succeed! And I feel that the funding for our children’s education can be dispensed more efficiently.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I bring the energy and vibrance of a young woman in her 30’s!
And I am the only small business owner running for Town Council in my district.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
I will continue to listen to the concerns of residents within my district.
Right now they are speaking to me about High Taxes, Government Waste & Inefficiency, the need for Better Management of Town Resources, the rising number of Apartment Buildings being constructed (which leads to School Overcrowding), the decline in the upkeep of Stern Village, concerns about compromises of our Wetlands with new construction, etc.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
• Running my own Small Business.
• Working with Children (including those with Special Needs) through Trumbull Little League.
• Employee of Trumbull Parks & Recreation from 2018-2021.
• Volunteer for Local Animal Shelter.
• I am Honest, and a Good Listener.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” - Philippians 4:13
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
No. But I would like to add that I enjoy cooking Italian pasta dishes, drinking good wine, taking frequent walks, and spending time with family!
