Why are you seeking this office?
I look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve the people of Trumbull and bring common sense leadership to town government.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Affordability is a theme I keep hearing while talking to my constituents. Taxes keep rising and young families and seniors are having a harder time staying in town.
We need true economic development. Responsible, balanced commercial development that strengthens our town without overburdening our services.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Experience. I have served three terms on the Town Council. I have been Vice Chair of TC, Chair of the L&A Sub Committee. Co-Chair, Senior/ Community Library Building Committee and worked on other sub-Committees in town government. I know how government works and how to get things done.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
In addition to taxes and economic development, infrastructure. I keep hearing and seeing the poor road conditions in many areas. I also am hearing and seeing issues with public safety. The speeds on crossroad streets is a real concern. People need to be able to safely walk and live in their neighborhoods
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
My voting record speaks for itself. I voted for tax relief for Fire and EMS volunteers. I voted for the Police pension plan to secure long term financial stability of our local department. I voted to allocate ARPA funds to help establish the Veterans and First Responders Center. I voted for the town wide lightening and threat detection system and I voted to put into effect a permanent ban on marijuana dispensaries.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Do your best!
You only get one chance in most cases, so put all your energy and knowledge
to work for the best outcome.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am a long-time Long Hill resident. My wife and I raised our children here and they attended Trumbull schools. In addition to my participation in town government I am an active member of St. Theresa parish and a member the K of C.
