Police said an officer was struck by a vehicle while conducting traffic control in Trumbull.

TRUMBULL, CT — A police officer was struck by a vehicle while conducting traffic control Wednesday in Trumbull, according to the department.

In a Facebook post around 9 p.m., police said the officer was conducting traffic control at the intersection of Daniels Farm and Hedgehog roads.

According to police, the officer was not seriously injured and did not need to be taken to a hospital.

The driver of the vehicle remained in the area and cooperated with an investigation, police said.

Police also noted Wednesday night that normal traffic in the area was expected to resume soon.
