Popular Trumbull Pool To Reopen This Week After Lengthy Renovation: Town
Town officials said the newly renovated pool and a new splash pad are both set to open this week. Here are the details.
TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull's popular Tashua Pool is officially set to reopen this week, along with a new splash pad, following a lengthy renovation project.
According to an announcement from the town, the newly renovated pool and the new splash pad will both open Thursday at noon.
The opening was announced after the town received a certificate of occupancy from a state health inspector Wednesday afternoon, town officials said.

Town officials announced Friday the pool's renovation was complete, however they were waiting for the certificate of occupancy to reopen it.
Earlier this month, town officials said work was continuing on the renovation and work on the building was nearing completion ahead of a July opening.
Renovations at the Tashua Pool began in September following its seasonal closure.
Town officials said they were investing in a comprehensive upgrade of the high-use multigenerational facility, supported by a combination of bond funding and $850,000 in American Rescue Plan Act allocations.
The project includes improvements to the main pool, restrooms, dressing rooms and concession areas, all of which had exceeded their useful life, town officials said.
The former children's pool was also planned to be converted into a splash pad, providing a safer and more engaging space for younger swimmers, according to town officials.
Tashua Pool serves hundreds of residents each summer and is also a key location for swim instruction programs that help young children build confidence in the water and promote lifelong water safety skills; investing in the renovation ensures the facility remains safe, functional and accessible for years to come, town officials said.
