TRUMBULL, CT — Recent death notices from Trumbull.

Elizabeth Marie Crainich, 80, formerly of Trumbull: Born in Rugen, Germany on December 13, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Maria (Balazic) Ray. Mrs. Crainich had worked as a hair dresser for many years before eventually becoming the owner of Village Square Hair Designs, formerly of Monroe.

Emil Balusek Jr., 69, of Trumbull: For 36 years, he worked his dream job at Sikorsky Aircraft as an aircraft rescue fire fighter and served as the training lieutenant. He was a volunteer firefighter for Nichols Fire Department since the age of 16.

Bartholomew "Bart" Petriello, 86, of Trumbull: A U.S. Army veteran, Bart worked with his father and brother Sal at Petriello's Barber Shop on Barnum Avenue in Stratford and later became the sole proprietor of the shop.

Joan S. Mallick, 88, of Trumbull: In Trumbull, she taught the first experimental kindergarten program, which was so successful it was a model for the University of Bridgeport teaching program. For this, Joan was declared a master teacher by School Principal Jane Ryan.

David Carvalho, 83, of Trumbull: He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson trike and entered, and won, many competitions. An associate member of the Red Knights CT Motorcycle Club VII, he was known as "Trike Dave."
