Gaida Ann Avens, 54, of Far Mill Street, Shelton, is charged with DUI, following too closely and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.
Police said Avens was involved in a crash on Huntington Road.
She allegedly failed field sobriety tests and had the smell of alcohol on her breath.
Her bond was set at $500 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
