A state preparedness drill Thursday will focus on how to handle nasty weather.
But that subject is not new to the area heavy snowfall in the least several years, including a blizzard that dropped more than three feet in Trumbull.
"It is an opportunity for the decision makers of each Town department, to get together with other emergency services and the Utility Companies, explain the functions and responsibilities of each, and to work toward a smooth communication process during times of a stressful weather event," said Trumbull Deputy Police Chief Michael Harry.
Shelton, although it is on the periphery, will also participate and work on lending mutual aid where necessary during the mock storm, said Michael Maglione, director of Public Safety and Emergency Management Services for Shelton.
